Youth Enrichment Program
Covenant House Alaska's (CHA) Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) promotes positive development of youth by engaging them in civic involvement, youth leadership, community volunteer and internship opportunities.
YEP, which is located at our Community Services Center, offers services and activities including:
- Runaway prevention presentations to Anchorage School District middle school students
- Structured activities and outings for youth
- Community volunteer opportunities
- Youth Expression Project, an effort to encourage and empower youth to communicate through art
- Participation in special activities, such as Global Youth Service Day, the Governor's Inaugural Ball, Mayor's Summer Picnic and the Humpy's Marathon
- Legal Street, a free, monthly clinic addressing a variety of legal topics

What: Legal Street, a free legal clinic presented by CHA and Alaska Legal Services
Who: Open to all Anchorage-area youth
Where: CHA's Community Services Center at 750 W. 5th Avenue, on the corner of 5th Avenue and H Street, in downtown Anchorage
When: Once per month
Why: To answer questions about civil law topics, such as landlord-tenant law, automobile sales, truth in lending, domestic relations, child support enforcement and child custody.
